IIPMI Excellence Award


1.     IIPMI Emerging Management Professional of the Year Award
Given to members who displayed great contribution with visible proofs in their area of specialization to achieving the mandate of building a sustainable economy in Nigeria and Africa. These management professionals need to have demonstrated the ability and drive to succeed in their chosen management field. This award recognizes emerging Management Professionals with the potential to make a significant human capital impact in their organization.

2.     IIPMI Management Team of the Year Award
In many instances, it is the power of the team rather than individual contributors that brings the true value of professional management to the business. The Management Team of the Year will be evaluated according to their effectiveness in producing tangible results for employees and business.

This award will accordingly recognize excellence and enterprise in any team within the field of management who have effectively demonstrated the following attributes: initiative, innovation, change management, transformation, and/or design and implementation of projects policies and practices. 
The above attributes and core competencies are linked to measurable and sustainable organizational outcomes.

3.     IIPMI CEO OF THE YEAR AWARD 
This award recognizes CEO’s and MD’s for their contribution to Professional Management. For Management Team to be successful in any organization, senior management buy-in is critical. Professional Management champions are those who have gone the extra mile and who drive successful management strategy from the top. Entries for this award should detail examples of a CEO/MD who will act as an ambassador to promote strategic management in the executive community:

Criteria

    1. Demonstrates leadership in ensuring people issues are strategically managed
    2. Champions specific Management or “Employer of Choice” initiatives
    3. Involves the management team in designing business strategies
    4. Shows personal leadership and integrity in driving diversity, transformation and flexibility
    5. Demonstrates strategic support to the Management Directors in the management of multiple stakeholders
    6. Exhibits/demonstrates sponsorship of /engagement with human capital professional development.
    7. Has a profile in furthering the Entrepreneurship agenda in Nigeria and Africa.
    8. Is recognized for his/her achievements.
    9. Exhibits an inclusive management style and actively involves management team directly in business strategy
    10. Supports employee surveys as a means to encourage feedback and effective performance measurement and improvement.

4.     IIPMI Professional Manager of the Year Award
In today’s business environment, strategic leadership at Board level is becoming critical for sustainable organizational success. This award recognizes Managers who operate at Board or Exco level and have demonstrated a track record of excellence in organizational leadership, by ensuring sound leadership principles are included in all aspects of the business.
